1. Service Description
ReceiptBot ("the Service") is a web application that helps users automatically collect and organize business receipts from their email accounts. The Service scans your connected email accounts for receipt emails from supported vendors and extracts relevant information such as amounts, dates, and attachments.
2. Email Access
To use the Service, you must grant us read-only access to your Gmail or Microsoft Outlook account. We request the minimum permissions necessary to search for and read receipt emails. We do not and cannot:
- Send emails on your behalf
- Delete or modify your emails
- Access emails unrelated to receipts
- Share your email content with third parties
3. Data Storage
When you use the Service, we store the following data in your account:
- Receipt information (vendor, amount, date, description)
- PDF attachments from receipt emails
- Your search history within the Service
- Your vendor preferences and settings
This data is stored securely and is only accessible to you through your authenticated account.
4. User Responsibilities
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Not attempt to circumvent any security measures
- Not use the Service to process receipts you are not authorized to access
5. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- All receipts will be detected and parsed correctly
- The extracted data will be 100% accurate
- The Service will meet all your specific requirements
You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any receipt data before using it for accounting or tax purposes.
7. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service or engage in abusive behavior. You may also delete your account at any time through the Settings page, which will permanently remove all your data from our systems.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReceiptBot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in Swedish courts.
